This creation has been a long time coming and soon there will be many, many more. I am so excited to finally be able to share my first dreamcatcher. There is only one piece missing, but it will be added soon and I will reveal that when it is ready. But for now, I am sharing these images of a dream I have had for so long, come to life.

I can't even begin to explain how happy this dreamcatcher makes me. The idea came to mind years ago and was just a fleeting thought. When I learned how to crochet a few years ago, the idea floated back to my mind. When I learned how to spin yarn a year ago, the idea came again and would not let me go. It still took some time to figure it out. For me to decide exactly how I wanted it to be.

When I came across a vintage pattern for this butterfly, I knew this would be perfect for floating in the center of the ring.

I saw this gorgeous green sari silk ribbon and etsy and ordered it up immediately, but at first I didn't know I was going to use it in this dreamcatcher. It wasn't until I purchased the art batt from Petit Bones and saw it next to the sari silk, that I knew how all of these pieces would come together. I spun the batt into a two-ply bulky yarn.

I then I came across this butterfly swarovski crystal that I had purchased some time ago and knew it was the perfect accent piece. Just a little bit of sparkle among the rustic, vintage, natural dreamcatcher. And then there is the final piece, which is on it's way in the mail as I type this. I will be sure and share as soon as it arrives.
I will be selling some of these at the Vista Fiber Festival in October and I will be listing some in my shop. I already have a custom order for one, so if you have interest in my making you a custom dreamcatcher, please email me for details.
